Device Technologies expands Asian footprint

Device Technologies Group, a provider of medical solutions, has entered into an agreement to purchase the Venusys and Infinity Group of Companies, which includes Fusion Scientific, Bits Medical and Vennbio Nutriceutical.

This acquisition marks Device Technologies Group’s entry into the point of care imaging technology market. The deal also expands the company’s capabilities in the aesthetics market while providing the opportunity for both Venusys and Infinity to leverage Device’s Asian footprint to expand beyond Malaysia and Singapore, said the company in a statement.

Founded in 2005, Venusys Medical Sdn Bhd has a presence in the laser- and light-based equipment market, serving the aesthetic and surgical markets across Malaysia. Its technologies and teams collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, hospitals, private medical centres and aesthetic physician clinics — to deliver solutions, addressing a wide range of aesthetic concerns in dermatology, cosmetics and plastic surgery.

Infinity Medical Sdn Bhd, established in 2003, is said to have been a key player in Malaysia’s healthcare sector, specialising in the distribution of a range of medical technologies, with a focus on point of care imaging equipment.

Nathaniel McLay, Managing Director Asia, from Device Technologies Group, said, “This is a considerable step forward for Device Technologies Group. This purchase will allow us to push forward with our mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions and exceptional service to healthcare professionals across the APAC region.

“It was clear that both Venusys, Infinity Medical and their affiliated companies align perfectly with our strategic growth plan and share our values of delivering superior health outcomes for our customers and patients. We’re incredibly excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring to the region.”
