New Chair Announced at NPS MedicineWise

 Mr Peter Turner has been appointed to the role of Chair of the NPS MedicineWise Board.
Mr Turner has served on the NPS MedicineWise Board since December 2012, and is the fourth chair since the organisation commenced in 1998.  He takes over from Dr Janette Randall who will continue as a director of NPS MedicineWise until her term ends in May 2015.
Dr Randall said Mr Turner brings a wealth of domestic and international experience in the biopharmaceutical sector and is well placed to lead NPS MedicineWise into the future as the organisation strives to build a medicinewise Australia.”
Mr Turner has more than 40 years’ experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. His expertise includes international healthcare, managing global business expansion, blood plasma therapies, protein separation technologies, pharmaceutical product development and quality assurance and industrial scale biotechnology.
Mr Turner says he is honored to take on the role of chair of NPS MedicineWise.
“NPS MedicineWise has a crucial role as a source of quality, evidence-based information for health professionals and the broader community. We live in a world with a lot of noise about medicine and technology—the work of NPS MedicineWise is extremely important in supporting wise health choices and helping people achieve better health outcomes,” he said.
