If you’ve come from overseas and are working in an Australian emergency department – or if you’re living in another country and want to work in an Australian ED in the future – this new orientation course can help.
The ‘First Shift in the ED’ program has been designed to introduce doctors from other countries to the requirements and expectations of working in Australian EDs.
It’s been designed by experts in medical education together with highly experienced emergency medicine specialists from Australia and overseas.
The free online course includes:
- Living in Australia
- The Australian Healthcare System
- Communication in the Emergency Department
- Emergency Care in Australia
- Clinical and Professional Practice
- A variety of other resources
