Let Medline help you stay on top of Infection Prevention
Infection prevention is crucial for maintaining a safe and healthy environment in any healthcare setting. As we approach Infection Prevention Week this October, we are reminded of the importance of minimising the risk of infections for patients, healthcare workers, and the broader community.
At Medline, we are dedicated to providing healthcare professionals with the products they need to manage infection risks effectively, and protect patients and themselves.
Different environments present different levels of risk for pathogen exposure. From head to toe, our personal protective equipment (PPE) is intended to provide the protection staff need for every situation. And — appropriate gear helps keep patients and residents safer from healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
Here’s how our products can make a direct impact:
Achieve protection with Medline Exam and Surgical Gloves
Healthcare facilities need a consistent supply of reliable gloves. Medline helps you protect your front line, bottom line and supply chain with customised solutions for all your needs. Medline offers a comprehensive glove portfolio (latex, vinyl, and nitrile exam gloves and latex, polyisoprene, and neoprene surgical gloves), because we know first-hand how important it is to have the right glove for the task.
At Medline, quality and consistency are of the utmost importance. Aside from having great Acceptable Quality Limits (AQLs), we have additional processes in place, such as grip checks and the general procedure inspection (GPI), to ensure consistently high quality. Whether you’re looking for an exam glove or surgical glove, we can help you find what you need with the right glove, size and fit — every time.
Isolation and Surgical Gowns
- Medline Gowns are fluid resistant or impervious disposable gowns worn to provide protection to the wearer from the transfer of microorganisms, body fluids and particulate material.1
- Medline Gowns are a fluid-resistant disposable garment worn over a scrub suit during a surgical procedure to help protect both the patient and operating room personnel from the transfer of microorganisms, body fluids and particulate material.1 The use of the surgical gown helps to create a sterile field, decrease the risk of infection to the patient, and protect the healthcare worker from microorganisms and cross-contamination from bodily fluids which may occur during surgery.
- Medline surgical and isolation gowns are tested according to the AAMI* international testing2 and registered as a medical devices with the TGA3.
Protection using Masks for Clinicians and Patients
- Comfort and breathability - Medline masks allow air to circulate in both directions while filtering pathogens, so that the user remains comfortable and cool.
- Bacterial filtration efficiency - Medline masks have bacterial filtration efficiencies, to ensure protection*.
- Fluid protection for greater safety - Protection from bloodborne pathogens is a serious matter. For the higher level of fluid protection, Medline masks pass the ASTM F1862 and ISO 22609 synthetic blood penetration at 160mm and 120mm hg*.
