The AIM-55 tablet is equipped with medical-grade features that offer substantial application value. The high-performance Intel Atom x5-Z8350 is compatible with both Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Android 6.0.1 operating systems for flexible configuration. To support medical applications, AIM-55 is embedded with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE technologies. This enables high-speed data transfers, GPS asset tracking and real-time communication for more reliable mobile computing.

For daily operations such as employee shift sign-in, medical inventory management, medical consultation, patient identity verification and medicine administration, and discharge and payment, the built-in communication technologies increase connectivity and enable multiple data streams. The front and rear cameras (2 + 5 + 13 megapixels), touch and stylus input support, and NFC and RFID technology streamlines data collection by enabling more efficient digitised patient identification checks. Additionally, with IEC 60601-1 Ed. 3.1 certification, the tablet satisfies medical standards for safe operation, and the IP65-rated enclosure tolerates repeated sanitisation for infection control.

A key advantage of the AIM-55 is its high expandability for diverse applications and easy integration with existing systems. The tablet device can be equipped with a wide variety of application-oriented peripherals such as a multislot charging cradle and barcode scanner. For example, when integrated with a 1D/2D 20°/70° barcode scanner, the tablet can be used for rapid inventory scanning, medicine administration management and patient identity verification. When integrated with a magnetic stripe reader or smart card reader, the tablet can be used for credit card payments and accessing patient medical records.
